Great For: Fishing. Swimming and snorkeling is also excellent in Huawai Bay though it should only be done when the sea is very calm as ocean conditions and currents may be hazardous.
Highlights: The water in Huawai Bay is usually very blue and crystal clear.
Need to Know: There are no shady areas at this beach, and the water gets deep very quickly.

Access
From Lanai City follow Hwy. 440 south for about 5 miles where the highway makes a left turn. Follow Kaupili Road to Manele Road (the first left), which leads to the ocean. A paved trail to a lookout over the beach starts just before the golf course. The beach itself is accessed by a very steep trail called the Poopoo Fisherman Trail.
