Dedicated to Denise Michelsen

My wife and I our going on our first vacation with out the kids in past twenty three years of our marrage and we are going to Hawaii. We will be going in May 2001 and in the week that we are going is our twenty third wedding anniversary. So this what I have planed for her, she will think that we are going to a Luau at Diamond Head park but there will be a minster waiting on the beach to re-new our wedding vows and this what I will say to her before the service: Life is a journey … along a path of twists and turns, filled with a mystical array of never-ending events and emotions. And on this magical journey … you’ll meet all kinds of people, some will cause a smile, a laugh, a tender moment that your heart will never forget.
This I know … for in my journey, I have met you.
Denise, you are my greatest love. The past twenty-three years have been beautiful, it feels like we just got married yesterday. I didn’t give true love much thought, but since you came into my life, I struggle desperately to find the words to tell you how much I love you and how I adore you. It is difficult for me to verbalize my feelings for you, because mere words can’t begin to express my deep love. I thank God for you, Denise, I pledge myself to you now, to be your ever-faithful husband. I give you my mind, my body and my heart and I promise to love you and cherish you for as long as we both shall live. I’m here not to say I Do; I’m here to say I will.
