The Hawaii State Golf Association, (808) 589-2909, lists municipal and public courses on all the islands. Municipal courses are county or city-run courses and have the lowest rates. Public courses are open to the general public and have higher rates than the municipal courses. Military golf courses, such has Hickam Golf Course, are open to the public, but there’s a catch. You can use the course only if you have a sponsor on the base.
Probably the most unforgettable course on Oahu is Koolau Golf Club, listed as one of the 10 Best Golf Courses in Hawaii.
