Ask the Big Kahuna "Answering the most common visitor questions"

Question:

Where are the best snorkeling spots in Hawaii, and where can you see dolphins while snorkeling?

Paul
Frederick, MD
The Big Kahuna

Response:

Aloha Paul,
You ask a big question of the Big Kahuna, because clear, beautiful, blue waters are one of Hawaii’s main attractions. One of the best ways to experience the magic of these Pacific waters is by snorkeling. Snorkeling is an activity just about anyone any age can enjoy, and it is relatively inexpensive. Hawaii offers countless snorkeling opportunities all along its gorgeous coastline (the longest in America). You can experiance Hawaii snorkeling at one of the many Hawaii beaches or you can take a boating adventure where you will be taken to remote snorkeling locations.

To get started, here are four great snorkeling spots on each of Hawaii’s main islands:
Big Island Snorkeling Spots
Kauai Snorkeling Spots
Maui Snorkeling Spots
Oahu Snorkeling Spots
