A long awaited KISS....... Dedicated to Kau'ionalni Submitted by Tom I remember it was 1979, I was 16 years-old and going on my first date, I had asked a Sophmore girl to my High School Junior Prom. Kau'ionalani was 5'2, long brown hair, and big brown eyes, and from the first day I noticed her on campus I was determined to muster all my courage to ask her out.We enjoyed a beautiful evening at the Prom, her in her beautiful prom dress,and me sporting a tux.The evening ended, I drove her home walked her to her front door, and said good-nite,without a kiss.In January 2007, Twenty-eight years later, we came across each others path, both divorced and single. I asked her out on her birthday, we talked for hours in a sushi bar.That night she told me, she remembered my Junior prom and that I never kissed her good night! This night I had kissed her, how I truly wished I kissed her the night of my prom. Kau'ionalani is now part of my life and is moving here to Hawaii to be with me for the rest of my life....
