The Moment I realized what love was Dedicated to Kathleen Mae Sheppard Submitted by Kenneth It was on a warm June day, the 10th of June to be exact. There was born to my a baby girl. The mother had to have a c-section to remove her because she was a big and healthy 8lbs 12oz Angel, and Angel Indeed.!!!! After the doctor removed her and clipped the cord, I was the first to hold her. Not a single cry came from her tiny mouth, but here eyes gazed into mine, not fully focused of course, but the bonding was instant. The doctor asked if I was ok. I supposed he thought I might be faint, but far from it I was in a moment of Heavenly Bliss that nothing to this day has equaled. With Mother and baby, Still not named, we decided on the name of Kathleen, which means A gift from God, and what a gift. I was still young and quite inmature at this stage, and made some mistakes, bad ones, that ended in being seperated from the only love of my life. I went through many years of intense internal struggle and unbelieveable pain being away from by daughter, who meant and till means the world to me. The day she was born, Heaven surly lost an angel, untill the day of our lord. I just want her to know how deep my love is for her, although I have never really shared heart to heart the pain it caused, but all will be completely healed one day. You have my everlasting love, any I pray everyday that The Lord will lead and direct your paths to peace and happiness in this life, and life eternal. One day we will travel to hawaii together.
