A promise kept Dedicated to My Angel Submitted by Eddie My wife and I married very young and being very young we of course had no money. Our honeymoon was at a local hotel not bad but not really nice. I felt bad that I couldn't provide my new bride with a nice honeymoon and she could tell. Over dinner she said that she didn't need a big trip for a honeymoon. At that point I told her that if she stuck with me and believed in me that on our 25th anniversary I would take her for a week in Hawaii at one of the nicest hotels I could find and would pay cash for the whole thing. She smiled but didn't say anything. This past Christmas my wife received in her stocking, 2 first class tickets, reservations at premier resorts on 2 islands and rent of a private beach house for 2 weeks, spa packages every couple of days, a private dinner cruise, luau reservations, everything booked, everything paid for in advance. She just said I didn't think you would remember. Our 25th anniversary is this August, My wife is so excited about the trip that she has had a countdown that she changes every morning written on the bedroom mirror since Christmas. I intend to treat her like a queen for the time we are in Hawaii.
