My Heart Belongs in Hawaii Dedicated to All the Long Distance Lovers Submitted by Damien I first met her when I graduated school. My family and I were in Hawaii celebrating my graduation. It was the first time I was there and it was unbelievable. The sky was so blue it felt like I was in utopia. I met this gorgeous angel from heaven whose name was Violet. She was a native Hawaiin with beautiful features and hair as soft as silk and as long as the river. Our eyes met and never left each other. As soon as we saw each other we knew that we belonged together and our souls were reunited from a previous life. I was there for a whole two weeks and everyday I spent with Violet. She showed me all around the island and got to spend time with her family and other Hawaiins. They have such a beautiful culture and we always held each other at the beach waiting for the sun to go down. She was first and only true love. Unfortunately, I had to leave to go back home. We kept in touch by writing each other since she didn't have a computer and she always sealed her letters with a kiss. After a couple of years she stopped writing and I don't know what has happened to her but I'm determined to save up enough money to go back to Hawaii to find Violet because I can never give my heart to another woman because, "My Heart Belongs in Hawaii".
