Our First Vacation Together Dedicated to Michael Childs Submitted by Lisa Michael and I have known each other for almost 20 years now. We have been living together for the past 7 years, with 4 boys, 1 girl and 2 grandchildren, plus a brother. As you can tell by the amount of people in the house, we haven't had anytime to ourselves. This is the first time that we have had the time and been able to afford to go somewhere and celebrate our lives together. We were planning a trip a couple of years ago, but both of us ended up sick. Michael had an emergency appendectomy and three days later I was diagnosed with breast cancer. What a year we had. Now that those issues are out of the way we NEED a vacation. We have always talked about going to Hawaii for our first trip. Golf, beaches, seeing the volcano's, luaus, music, dinners. WOW! What more can you say. Walking hand and hand along the beach, the ocean sounds and calming breezes blowing. The palm trees restling in the background. The excitement of a luau or seeing a show. Night clubs, shopping or just sitting at the beach. We have seen so many wonderful pictures and shows on TV, but we really want to experience this for ourselves. What a way to celeberate out long lasting love together with everything that we have been through together. I love him with everything I have and this would be the best way for me to show him and spend some REAL quality time together.
