Love Stories of Hawaii

Holiday

Aloha mainlanders!
Dedicated to My wife

Submitted by Richard

Aloha mainlanders!

Many vibrant colours catch your eye as you enter the airport to be greeted and receive a circle of tropical flowers placed on your neck by a tropical angel dressed in native garb.

The Hawaiian Islands are the ultimate tourist destination for enjoying tropical pleasures and still be in the United States with all the benefits of water you can drink from the tap. The relief of worry about water quality and food issues and security of your personal possessions is the most important consideration for travellers to foreign countries.

Hawaii has all the qualities of any tropical destination with beaches and resorts plus an active volcano. Most of all, the people of Hawaii are the true difference in enjoying your holiday that rivals any destination in the world. They all have an easy-going attitude about life and the pace you experience is a welcome relief from the rat race back home.

I first visited Hawaii in 1983 on my way to Australia for an extended visit. I scheduled a four day stay to break the long flight downunder. To my surprise, the many splendours of this island paradise offered me many options to enjoy the beach and the sites of Honalulu and Waikiki Beach and beyond. Perhaps the highlight of this stay was when I attended the Sunset Ceremony at the Hilton and was amazed at the fire dancers. I have to return to Hawaii and visit the other islands that offer many more new and exciting things and places to see. I can see why Hawaii was the favourite place for Elvis Presley where he made movies and performed in the greatest concert of his time "Aloha from Hawaii".

I long to return to the islands and show my wife paradise.
