Second Chance Love

Lost
Dedicated to James

Submitted by Raynie

I am 24 years old and got married first at the young age of 18, to my high school sweetheart, sounds great right? Not...he turned out to me my worst nightmare. He was abusive and neglectfull and when we finally divorced I was 21 and lost. I had never taken care of financial issues, lived on my own, or really ever dated that much. My life turned to termoil at my own dimise. I started hanging around people I should and putting myself in situations that were dangerous. Then I met James, another heart broken and lost soul. We came from two different worlds and had almost nothing in common. I was a spoiled rotten country girl that had only dated "normal" kinds of guys. James was 20yrs old and came from a long line of disadvantages and mishaps. He had lived on his own since the age of 15, had been abused by numerous people, and was such a city boy!!! But we connected instantly, not thinking this relationship would really lead anywhere, boy were we wrong. We have now been together for 21/2 yrs and soon to be husband and wife. This relationship has required no work at all. We are a perfect match and he fulfills all of my needs like I never thought was possible. He still makes my heart beat 90 to nothing when he kiss's me and I can't imagine it getting any better than it is. But I know there are may more years of good times to look forward to. This man is my bestfriend, soon to be husband, and my hero. He helped pull me out of a time of devestation that under my own will could have turned my life down a very unhealthy direction. I love him and I thank God everyday for my soulmate. I am an LPN and He is an armed security guard and we are also supporting each other on our journey to pursue a higher education. ---Who says you can't live on love?---

From the time we became ingaged we both have dreamed about going to hawaii. We are both so diffent in our likes and dislikes that when we actually agreed on loveing hawaii I knew that had to be the place for our honeymoon. Somewhere we can begin our life together as husband and wife.
