Two Hearts Become One
Dedicated to my husband Shannon Tolbert

Submitted by Jennifer

My husband and I will be celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary in November. We were married young and neither of us truly knew who we really were or what troubles lie ahead.

We began to learn who we really were as we endured illness and financial devastation. At times, it seemed that the process was tearing us apart. In fact, we nearly lost each other forever; then a miracle happened.

At our lowest point, God's hand touched our marriage so dramatically it was as if He knitted our very hearts together. In learning how to become one, we learned who we really are as individuals.

We have always dreamed about going to the most romantic place on earth, beautiful Hawaii, and making up for not having a real honeymoon ten years ago. Someday I believe we will. But even if that doesn't happen for another ten years I want the world to know how much I love my husband. I hope that we can renew our vows on our anniversary because we're really not the same two people that got married ten years ago. I feel so much more connected to him and more passionate about our life together than ever. He makes me so proud to be his wife. I cherish his love and his faithfulness to me. He is my knight in shining armor and my super hero. I am his best friend and his greatest conquest... and we are one.
