Love Stories of Hawaii

Special Occasion

50 Years
Dedicated to My parents

Submitted by Anonymous

There on the porch in 1966

The sound of waves was caressing the sand
As we waltzed in balmy night air
Over your shoulder I watched an older couple
Dancing, dignified and slow
This silverhaired woman and time-weathered man
Alit with a contented glow
And every time I gazed over at them
My heart twinged with hope we would be
Together as long and just as content
Someday when we came back to dear Hawaii
And here we are now, all these 50 years later
And with time passed and all we've been through
I look at you and know just how lucky I am
To be in paradise twice with you.
