My Hearts Content Dedicated to My Husband Dennis Submitted by Susie When I was growing up we had a lot of family living close by. I remember my Granddad always telling me that my hearts content could be found near the ocean. I was just a little girl at the time and Granddad knew everything. As I grew into a teenager, no one knew anything but me. Soon I was a young lady getting ready to strike out on her own. I was going to take a job with a great company by ocean on the Big Island of Hawaii. I was ready to take on the world. Since I was going to be working near the ocean, I thought that it would be a good idea to learn to swim. I signed up for lessons. I was nervous but ready for the challenge. As we all got into the water, I noticed a very handsome young man who looked to be as nervous as I was. After class we were walking out and he smiled and said "Were you nervous too?" That was all it took. I was head over heels in love. We were married 2 years later. I think back to what my Granddad used to tell me. If I had not moved to the Big Island of Hawaii, I never would have found my hearts content.
