38 Years Later Dedicated to Tom Drehobl, my husband Submitted by Mary I met my future husband in Sept. 1966 (right after he returned from his 2 years in the Army). We dated and talked about marriage and a honeymoon in Hawaii. I thought a honeymoon in Hawaii was so very romantic. However, after much discussion, we decided to buy a brand new house with a VA loan (no money down) so our honeymoon to Hawaii never materialized. We had 2 beautiful children and never had the money for a trip to Hawaii. Now our 38th wedding anniversary is nearing and we have decided to take that honeymoon trip to Hawaii at long last.
