A Kiss That Lead To Life
Dedicated to Jeff Rothman

Submitted by Alisha

Hi my name is Alisha. I grew up in Charlotte, NC. In the summer of 1983 a new family moved to our street. I was so happy to have a new girlfriend to play with. What I wasen't happy about was having to put up with her older brother. We became best friends and tried to manage the torturous behavior her brother Jeff gave up. For example, he would throw our barbie dolls in the fan and laugh as the arms flew across the room. He would chase us around the yard and knock us down for no reason. He pushed me off a 8 ft porch when I was 7. And the list goes on and on. Well after many years we grew up and went our seperate ways. After school and jobs the years had run by and I ran into my best friend one day. She invited me and my boyfriend to her New Years Eve party. Excited to hang out with my best friend we went. She opened the door and among quiet a few people all I could see was boy I grew up with. Her brother Jeff stood there 6'3 220lbs blonde hair blue eyes and somehow he didnt seem so yucky anymore. He immediatly came over to hug me and i could barely fit my arms around his broad shoulders. Somehow I seemed to manage. I could absolutly not believe my eyes. Little Jeff was now Big Jeff. Throughout the night we would catch each other flirting and somehow I could not take my eyes off of him. He was beautiful. After bringing in the new year my boyfriend and my best friend went to the store. Jeff in the midst of all this decideds to ask me for a kiss. Oh my god I thought am I really going to kiss Jeffrey? Very weird thought at the time. And i was not single. I know really bad of me huh? I did compromise and tell him he could have a pop kiss. Very weird now. He took me up on the offer and went in for the kill..pop kiss (yea right)..he went for the whole 9 yards and about knocked me back. The kiss was so gentle and so strong and so right. Shortly after we began dating and 8 years later and two kids down the road I am happy to say Im married and have a great family....oh yea...my husband's name is Jeff

The story of childhood friends actually ending up spending the rest of our lives together is really great. And it feels great to talk about it to. I think I should win this trip to hawaii contest so me and mr rothman can spend some more kissing time actually kissing and away from the children for a few days...thank for your time and i hope you enjoyed the story
