Determined! Dedicated to Michael Submitted by Anonymous When I was in fourteen , I went to an all girls catholic high school. Our favorite past time was watching the boys from the nearby all boys catholic high school walk by or loiter outside the school to pick up their girl friends. As the year went by I was lucky enough to get an English class for the last class of the day. Therefore, I had a prime seat...by the window of course! As September, October, November and then December rolled along, I continued to see one boy in particular everyday. I waited everyday and watched. Weeks rolled into months and then came spring. I now could see him much better. He was a true "hunk of burning love". All the heavy winter gear was gone. Gone was the flying snow(we do live in Buffalo!!). I began to get curious. I started to ask around as to who he was. To my dismay, I learned he was a "Senior" and was waiting for his girlfriend. When the end of the school year approached,I began to tell all my friends that I was going to marry him. I became the joke of all my friends. School was over and they knew I would never see him again. I met friend one day and told him I wanted to go to California and Hawaii. The door opened and guess who walked in? My friend pointed to him and said he is my cousin and he'll take you. Imagine my school friends surprise...I became his wife. And yes he took me to California and Hawaii on our honeymoon. Now 31 years later he is still my only true love!..and still my "Hunk of Burning love"!!
