A Mile High Big Apple Dedicated to Ryan Anderson Submitted by Annemarie A vacation to Colorado seemed nice. It was February and about 1.5 years after 9/11. This girl could use a break from the big city to see the sky and the mountains. I was considering a move. A good friend of mine asked to set me up on a blind date while I was considering the relocation and I reluctantly agreed. I had enough on my mind. However, that day changed the course of my life. Ryan Wheeler Anderson promptly picked me up for a safe "lunch" date. We talked as if we had been searching for one another, but hadn't known it until then. I returned to New York to put things in place for the move and spoke to Ryan frequently on the phone. Getting to know my soul-mate in a very candid way, as we didn't have the temptation for romance to snow our vision :-). Five months passed and every door opened for me to move to Colorado. God is good! I got off the plane, saw my true love (though we hadn't disclosed it to each other until that day), we were engaged 3 months later and now are married with baby on the way! He is a most unusual man. He lost both of his parents before the age of 14 and yet with that loss came the gift of a most generous heart and courage of spirit I've ever seen. His eyes are bluer than the waters of Hawaii and yet, I'd love to prove that by visiting in person!
