Can't Stand Being Without Him. Dedicated to Jay Submitted by Anonymous It was a warm, clear morning overlooking the beach. The wind was calm and noises of the city seemed so far away. I brought the rim of the glass up to my lips and took a long sip, feeling it's contents slowly decend down my throat. I closed my eyes and thought back to the last time I saw him... We were in our beachfront cabin on Maui. Playing and laughing like a couple of school kids. Nothing could ruin this evening. The stars were out and love was around us. Every smile, every kiss, every word was filled with romance and our love eternally. That fresh Hawaiian air filled my lungs and made me feel so alive! All night we embraced and kissed talking about our future together. It was all so perfect! We went to bed late, in one another's arms, looking up at the moon in it's brightness surrounded by stars. I didn't want that night to ever end! When I woke up I was alone. I got out of bed and staggered toward the balcony. The water was still and no one was there. That was when I realized...it was over. He was gone. I cried and fell into a ball on the floor. "Where are you? Why did you have to leave me??" My life was over as I knew it. Now I sit here, alone. As I drink my drink and watch the waves. Wondering what I did wrong. When all of a sudden I feel a hand on my shoulder and this voice in my ear. The breath warm and familiar..."Relax, I was only taking a shower. Why do you always have to be so dramatic?"
