Hawii Romance on Hold
Dedicated to Danny, my husband

Submitted by Anonymous

Danny and I met when we were 16 years old on a blind date set up by his cousin, Justin and Justin's girlfriend, Melissa. Four months later, Danny was driving down a dirt road with four of our friends, two of them Justin and Melissa, when Danny lost control of his Blazer. It flipped three times, threw Melissa out and she died instantly. This horrible accident caused a lot of pain for all of us. Danny and I went through a lot of grief and decided to go our seperate ways for a while. Five months later we were at a friend's going away party when we saw each other again. We have been together ever since. We became pregnant with our first daughter at the age of 18. We knew before we became pregnant that we wanted to get married, and this love we had for each other was real. We were the best of friends. There was never a doubt in our mind to not keep our daughter. So, we decided to go ahead and get married a little earlier then planned. We got married July 29, 2000 when our daughter was 8 months old. It was a very small wedding that took place in my parent's backyard and the whole thing only cost $500. We knew that it was unrealistic to go on a Honeymoon and we always planned on taking one on our 5th Wedding Anniversary. Now, four years later, and one more daughter added to our lives, we are looking forward to be able to get away for a week in paradise in Hawaii. Danny and I are the happiest couple in the world. We love each other like we have been married all of our lives. Through the years we have faced many trials of health problems, family losts, and financial hardship. I believe Danny and I have faced more in the 8 years we have known each other then many do in their whole lives. Getting away together, and affording it would be a dream come true. Thank you for reading our story.
