Love Stories of Hawaii

MY honey and I in Hawaii i.
Dedicated to Native Hawaiians

Submitted by Anonymous

Can you be in love with a place as well as with a person? I believe you can be. To celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, we travelled to our dream destination--Hawaii!! I fell in love again and this time it was with a destination. The aloha spirit is real and alive in Hawaii.

We encountered so many wonderful people and visited so many wonderful places. To prepare for our trip, I read and visited via the internet and the travel channel all kinds of places in the islands. It was almost as much fun as the trip. I had built an idea in my mind of what Hawaii was like. Would the reality live up to my expectations? Yes, it did! It truly is a paradise on earth.

On the big island, we wished to see a tropical garden. We came across a van for one of the gardens and went for a tour. The driver was a native hawaiian woman who entralled us with her tales of Hilo. We saw our fill of orchids and other exotic plants. And as we were her last visitors for the day, she asked us if we would like to see where she lived and some of the local places!

We toured her community with a memorable stop at the local watering hole where her children were swinging on a rope and jumping into the ocean and having a blast. So were we having one, to get an up close and personal tour. Aloha spirit is real and Hawaiians want others to truly enjoy the paradise they have inherited from their ancestors. Go and fall in love for yourself.
