Escape the Hum Drum – Romantic Hawa
Dedicated to My wonderful husband, Clyde
Submitted by Patricia
It was a generally good life. Good jobs, nice home, great kid, wonderful husband. Just sort of a hum drum existence. You know the drill – get up every day, take Christina to school, go to work, run errands at lunch, pick up Christina, drive home, make dinner, eat dinner, supervise school assignments and piano practice, say a few words to the Clyde, fall into bed. Occasionally a bit of "cuddle time" before falling asleep. Occasionally livened up by soccer practice, ballet lessons, piano lessons or some other extra activity Christina is involved in. Occasionally sneak away to play golf with Clyde or the girls. An occasional lunch with friends. Not a bad life, in fact better than most. Just a lot of the same thing over and over again.
Wouldn't be wonderful to sneak away with Clyde for a really romantic vacation! The perfect time would be while Christina is at camp this summer. We could go away for a week. No errands, no chores, no same old same old! Time to reconnect, talk, really see each other. And to see Hawaii - that legendary land of beautiful beaches, wonderfully different culture, orchids, waterfalls, great golf courses. Could there be a better way to celebrate this 10th year of our marriage?
Oh well, time to stop daydreaming and get back to work. It was the pleasantest of daydreams, though!
