Summer of Love Dedicated to Judy Submitted by Ed In the month of May, friends of my parents and their daughter, all from Colorado, came to California to visit my parents. My mom wanted them all to go to Disneyland to see the sites. I received a call from my mom begging me to go so their friends daughter could have someone her on age to be with. But I worked the graveyard shift and didn't feel like going. I just wanted to sleep. My mom pleaded with me to go. So being the good son that I was, I gave in and went with them. Seems this blond haired daughter of their friends and myself hit it off pretty well. She was a little shy and I was very much outgoing and was able to make her feel real comfortable and at ease. Then it happened, we were riding the Matterhorn, she was sitting between my legs when she got all wet, from the water on the ride that is. With the laughter and the looks of that moment we both knew there was something special happening. When the day ended we were good friends. For the entire week she was in California, we spent as much time with each other as possible and by the time she went back to Colorado we knew we were in love. After a month of phone calls, letters and cards we knew we wanted to be together. In the month of June she moved to California to be with me. We spent the next two months of summer enjoying each others company and learning as much as we could about each other. In the month of August we were married. I know what your thinking. With so little time to get to know each other, how could this relationship ever last. Well that was thirty years ago and she still enjoys sitting between my legs on the Matterhorn at Disneyland and reliving that Summer Of Love. Wouldn't it be great to spend year 31 in beautiful Hawaii?
