And so we met Dedicated to My husband Jesse Anderson Submitted by Nicole There I was a newly graduated senior off to the island of Oahu on my search for an education and true love. At the age of 17 I was accepted to one college out of the dozen I applied to, and that was Hawaii's own HPU. Who would of known that would be the best thing that could of happened to me, because now 6 years later I am married to the man of my dreams. I told all my friends on that cold winter day in Worcester, MA that I was off to the islands to find myself a dark Hawaiian surfer, and that they would all be jealous. And then came Jesse a 5'11'' handsome marine from North Dakota. They all tell you do not fall for those military men, but of course I did. Jesse became my soul mate, like he and I had been fating all along to meet that day in September. He wasnt the dark Hawaiian man I had dreamed of but he was so much more. Jesse has become my best friend who I can share anything with. He has supported me these last 6 years while I am finishing nursing school. He helped me plan a Hawaiian themed wedding because we werent able to wed there. He took me on my honeymoon back to Hawaii because he knew that was where the heart of our romance was. Now upon the completion of my nursing education we have saved some money in First Hawaiian Bank and we eventually plan on moving back to start our Ohana. I guess the 28,000 dollars in school loans bought me a husband, better yet a soul mate. Aloha is love and since meeting by husband in Hawaii I have never known such a powerful word. Our hearts will always be with Hawaii.
