Anniversary Dreams Dedicated to My Husband Submitted by Susan For our 20th Anniversay my husband and I wanted to plan a trip to Hawaii, but at the time there was just no way to get away or was there enough money to go. So knowing that it wasn't going to be possible, we planned a special dinner, or so I thought, without my knowledge, my husband enlisted the aid of some of our dear friends to cover both work and our small children. He had my girlfriend pack a bag for me and stowed it in the trunk. I got all dressed up for dinner not knowing about the other. We got in the car and started driving. When we didn't go to the restaurant where I thought we were going, I started asking questions. He told me to be patient and he would explain everything. Needless to say I was very surprised when we drove over the Mackinaw Bridge and checked into a very fancy hotel. Then on top of everything else it was the honeymoon suite, which was gorgeous. He had dinner served in the room with champagne and everything. He told me that we couldn't afford Hawaii but we were still on the waterfront, even though it was frozen over for the winter. He told me that one day we would make it to Hawaii. This was one of the most romantic things he has ever done.
