Love Stories of Hawaii

Special Occasion

I wish
Dedicated to Mom

Submitted by Henry

IMom visited Hawaii when she retired from work in 1960. She speaks with loving memory of the visit. She will turn 97 on June 14, Flag Day, and I would like to take her back for one more visit. She has always worked, especially during child raising times. She started working at age 13 in Scotland. Her father died in a coal mining accident when she was 7. When her mother died in 1927, she emigrated to America where she met my father. The married in 1933. Times were tough. Money was very scarce. My father died at age 58 from a heart attack. I had a stroke at age 58, and wonder if the Gods were telling me something?
At any rate, I would like to take her back to Hawaii for another visit. This will be my first, and I look forward to it.

I wish.

Henry McComb, son
