A Shade Of Blue Dedicated to My family Submitted by Sherry The love of my life had broken my heart. I realized that I must escape. I was not sure where to go. I realized that my dream had been to take a trip to Hawaii. Could I stand to be alone on this beautiful island? I made my decision and I was on my way. When I arrived it was more beautiful than I could have imagined. The people greeted me with a lay of flowers. It was such a magical place and the waters seemed to be this amazing shade of blue. Was this place real? It was too perfect and too wonderful. I searched the island and experienced all the beauty within. It was amazing and I was having a great time. One day I was walking the sandy beach when I ran into somebody. This person had knocked me over. I stood up and was ready to yell when I looked up. Before me stood a good looking man. He apologized and continued down the beach. He looked back at me and smiled. I could have melted. I ran into this mysterious man again. He took my hand and introduced himself. I was in love. He invited me to go horsback riding on the beach. I excepted of course. We spent the next few days having romantic dinners and walking along those deep blue waters. My dream had come true. I went to bed and I awoke in my bed at home. The phone was ringing and so I tripped across the floor to the phone. It was my boyfriend. He called to tell me he was getting the rest of his things. My nightmare had come true and my dream of Hawaii dissappeared with the night.
