Lil Dave Dedicated to David Newlen Submitted by Patty My mom and I took my son David to Hawaii for his 9th birthday. We had a condo across from wikki beach. As you know a machine comes by early in the morning to pick up all the sea shells. He would every nite before bed say please mom can we go to the beach and get sea shells. Of course I would give in and unknowing to him mom and I would buy bags of shells put them in our sweaters and when David went on the beach it was darker than it was at mornings so we would slip out and drop sea shells on the beach and he got such a collection over our 18 days there and when he got home he put them up on his shelf so proud of himself. David is now 20 and he still has his shells and displays his finding of the shells from Hawaii.
