Earth's Heart Chakra Dedicated to Love Submitted by Barbara Against my better judgement, yielding to persuasive powers of friends, I agreed to go to that "tourist trap" Hawaii. Nowhere, on this planet, have I felt the power of the heart chakra more clearly than in Maui. It was palpable and I was in total awe. From the moment I touched Hawaii, it touched me. People reached out to me with their stories springing from their being with warmth and joy. Helen, the minister standing in as gift shop clerk for a dear friend, lit the fire of spiritual discourse over a sale of a wood box. Opal, from Keanae, sensed a tired traveler who was not going to make it to Hana that night and opened her beach side cottage to me, freely. The palms, the breeze and the divine ocean cradled me. Love filled with trust and conscious acceptance of all there is before us filled my encounters from the mundane shopping to the spiritual renewal of a sunset conversation with strangers witnessing with wonder. My elementary librarian's salary has been sorely stretched to give me two holidays in the Heart Chakra of our Earth. I will return again to refresh this gift of love and take it back home to share.
