Hawaii Summer Of Love Dedicated to Anyone who loves someone Submitted by Annemarie It was a summer afternoon I was lying peacefully on the sand in one of the Hawaii bays when a attractive man walked up to me. I don't recall exactly how Mark (my old high school sweetheart) talked me into going on his little adventure; maybe it was the way he moved, or the way his blue eyes smiled at me, or maybe it was just the way he told me I knew the Hawaiian Islands better then anyone he could think of, but whatever he said and did it worked. I was captured in his passion. I was awakened by Mark. He was yelling in my ear and pulling at my covers. I looked up at him realized how much he had changed in the four years since high school. " It's like four in the morning. What do you want?" I cried. "I want you...... to get up! We're leaving earlier then I thought, don't worry Sarah you can sleep with me I mean on the boat," said Mark as he threw me a pack with my gear and clothing in it. We started walking to the Honolulu bound ship. The dock was about 2 km uphill from our hotel so we had a good thirty-five minute hike ahead of us. As we walked together I studied my employer. Mark was about twenty-two and was taller than most men. He had short blond hair and blue eyes. There was still a burning inside my heart for him. I was sound asleep by the time the boat was on it's way to Honolulu City. When I awoke Mark was fast asleep I noted that he was quite close beside me. He looked so gorgeous I hardly noticed how much the boat was rocking. Mark who was also rocking keep hitting against me. I didn't mind him hitting against at all but my head was being pounded against the wall. I wondered when he would awake. The boat ride was twenty to fifty minutes away from the Honolulu Port so I decided to take a look around the boat before may head exploded from being banged against the wall so hard and being beside the most attractive man I knew. Even though I had lived in Maui and Hawaii, a little Midway island, my whole life, I had only been on this particular ship twice before. I paced around the ship basking in the warmth that came off the glistening white decks and enjoyed the quietness of the calm sea air. Mark startled me as I turned around and was facing him. He held something in his hand. I watched him kneel down on to the deck. "I love you still." said Mark!
