Memories of Love
Dedicated to Edwin James Fowler

Submitted by Gloria

My Dearest Love Ed,

On September 14, 2001 we will have been married 27 years. I want you to know how much these have meant to me. We share a lifetime of Love and happiness and I wouldn't trade this for all the money in the world. Although we have had our up's and down's, we always seem to allow our love to conquer any obstacle that comes along.

I realize that although I am afraid of the final diagnosis from the doctors, our love will keep us strong. You've always told me not to borrow trouble and things will work out. I do want to believe that. My last few tests were negative and this does build my hopes.

I was thinking of our 15th wedding anniversary and still can see the look of surprise on your face when you opened up your gift and found the tickets to Hawaii in the pocket of your robe. Wow what a shock that was to you!! We had such a wonderful trip and I still can feel the kiss of Love you gave me as we were on the plane getting ready to taxi out away from our newfound paradise. Do you remember the look, the tears and the thank you we exchanged and the embrace as onlookers were wondering what was going on?

So much has happened since then. Now our son shares our love for the islands and has moved to Hawaii. My heart aches for him, I miss him so. I long to hold him in my arms and let him know I love him. You are so sweet to say I can go and see him, but darling I want to share the trip with you. We don't know how much time we have together and although it could be another 27 years, I still want to relive my memories of Love with you and our two sons. Joshua is 16 now and soon he will be on his own, than it will be just the two of us. I love our time together but I really would love for it to be our family together one more time and where better than in Hawaii. Please think about this and let me know before too long. I love you so and hope we will be together forever.

Forever in Love, your loving wife, Gloria
