Constellations of Myself

Snuggling deep beneath the comforter of my thoughts, it is warm
and reminds me of bonfire cannons
watching, as briefly glowing ashes shot into the night - extinguishing themselves before they touched earth
I used to think they were fireflies and would chase them before they disappeared
It was by that light of Hawaii, I first truly saw the stars
and now I prefer the cool darkness, end of day
Fingered trances, moon bathing reflections
Breezes like breath, soothing sanity & sleep.
This is where I keep my love,
Safely hidden away,
Palmed in my hand.
