A Knight in Shining Armor Dedicated to Clint W. Bonney Submitted by Linda My love story began March 2, 1996 in Edmonds, Washington. This is where I met my K.I.S.A. - that stands for Knight in Shining Armor. I gave him that name and even after 4 years together constantly, he is still. His armor has only been slightly dented once. We're married now, as of August 14, 1999. Marriage, as some people say changes you (us), but not my Clint. He is even more than I hoped for. He has at times over the years been named Prince Valium, because he is so easygoing. We have never argued and don't expect we ever will. I work in the medical field and used to see little elderly men escorting their wives around the clinic, holding their purses, walking down the hall hand in hand. I said that one day, I want just that. And now I do. The reason I appreciate Clint is due to my past marriages. They taught me to look for the right qualities, ones they didn't have. Patient, kindness, understanding, respect, and communication, and of course, love, great love, love everlasting and never ending, even beyond. Clint and I have that. Some of his qualities are: he does all the vacuuming, empties the trash, gets the mail, loads and unloads the dishwasher. On cold nights, he'll even get into bed first to warm my side with his body warmth. In the middle of the night, if he gets up to go to the bathroom, when he returns to bed, he kisses my shoulder. This is to let me know it is him and not an intruder. He has never ever failed to do this and most usually with a comment such as, "You're my sweetie" or "You're my princess." You see, in his eyes, I am a princess, therefore he treats me as such. And to me, he is my Knight In Shining Armor, for he rescued me from a boring single life of over 10 years. He has taken and shown me more in 4 years than any other times in my life. We go to places, take trips, movies constantly, watches what some would call chick flicks on TV. Involves himself with my grown children and even my lovely granddaughters. A co-worker recently confided to me that yes, she loved her husband of 10 years, but if she had to tell something good about her husband, she could think of only one, that he is good to his friends. Well, you see you have asked to keep this at a certain amount of words, otherwise, I would go on and on about how great my husband is. We are the best Us I have ever known. Everyone agrees that we are perfect; we even look perfect together. I don't have to worry that he will ever change, I know that he will be as romantic in 20 years as he was the day I met him. This may not be a great love story to you, but it has allowed me to express myself on paper and that is enough for me. Although a trip would be nice. We had hoped his employer would be sending him to Hawaii, but at this time it has been put on hold. We don't have the kind of money it takes to do a trip yearly, but would love to. He has been to all the islands and would someday like to take me to all of them. Last year at about this time, his employer did send him to Kauai, and I was able to go along, of course buying my own airfare. Winning this trip would be all romance and no work. Thank you again for allowing me to share my romance story with you.
