Ribbons of kelp lie along the Hawaiian shore, Streamers and bows form hearts in the sand Teased into these shapes by the rushing surf While froth and foam spill o'er each strand. Gulls, pelicans and tern soar serenely nearby; Sandpipers peck and search the waves' leaving. Dolphins frolic, dancing on white-capped swells As the tide edges closer and closer cleaving.
