I Dreamed of Hawaii Dedicated to The people of Kauai Submitted by Valeria I dreamed of Hawaii! I had tears in my eyes as my daughter Ashley and I got our first glimpse of Kauai. The Napali coastline was beyond anything my imagination could create. I told Ashley we must have crash-landed, died and went to Heaven, because surely Kauai was Heaven. We enjoyed a helicopter, waterfall, hiking, and kayaking excursion. The tour of Kauai by air was truly awesome. I can't believe they actually pay people to fly those helicopters. The waterfall, hiking, kayaking excursion was our favorite. We had a private tour guide named Kanoi. He let us swing from the same rope that Harrison Ford swung from in Indiana Jones, Raiders of the Lost Ark. My trip to Kauai will never be forgotten as long as I live! It has been one of the high points in my life. It reaffirmed my belief that God lives and there is a Heaven! Because if God can create Hawaii, then God can create Heaven! If you have any doubts, just go visit Hawaii! I dreamed of Hawaii! I brought home as much of it as I could in the way of song, stories and precious memories. I left part of my heart on Kauai and I long for Hawaii and the day that I will return. As only Israel Kamakawinwo'ole sings it, "There's a dream that I dreamed of once in a lullaby!" Until we meet again Kauai, I will dream of you! Aloha and Mahalo!
