A Mother's Wish Dedicated to Kellie Catherine Chaney Submitted by Deede i have a daughter, kellie, who is 15 years old. when she was 4 years old i took a cruise of hawaii on the uss constitution. i did this during the 4th of july week because i felt i needed down time from being a single parent, working for the us postal serice and a 50 mile each way comute. what i learned during this beautiful trip was so eye opening. i missed the daughter i left behind and called her each day after departing the ship for excursions. i knew i loved my daughter, but with a horrible divorce, the constant harrassment at work my priorities were misplaced. thank you hawaii for helping me clear my head. i would love this trip to take my daughter to a place she has heard so much about. kellie's godmother goes to hawaii every year for vacation. as a single mom i don't have the money to do that. i would like her to have all the things that go with a teenager in hawaii. the tan, the boys, the tourist attractions, the beauty, and the most important part the spirituality that comes with the beauty of the hawaiian islands. thank you.
