Company Spotlight:
Catamaran Kahanu is Hawaiian owned and operated by a long-time Kauai 'ohana (family).

Many years ago Lani and Billy started a catamaran tour business to the Na Pali coast. Their desire was to find the most comfortable way to experience the Na Pali coast. They soon built Catamaran Kahanu.

In Hawaiian, Kahanu means "the breath of life." The catamaran is blessed with its name from their great, great grandfather David Kahanu, a Hawaiian landowner who fished Kauai's North Shore.

Catamaran Kahanu begins its twenty-third year in business and we have been fortunate in sharing our knowledge of the "Na Pali" coast with visitors from all over the world.

Our mission is to provide our guests with a quality tour and an opportunity to experience Kauai's Na Pali coast.

"Ho'omaka na kupuna" "Our ancestors began ..." "Kamau makou" "We continue..."

There are tours daily, Monday through Saturday. Tours include sightseeing, swimming, and snorkeling. During our winter months the schedule will vary depending upon the weather conditions.

The captain, hostess and crew are trained in guest service relations to provide the best quality service in the hospitality industry. Our guest's comfort, enjoyment, and satisfaction are our primary concerns.

Our captain, crew and hostess also share their talents in the art of Hawaiian arts and crafts, demonstrating how the Hawaiian people used natural fibers, such as the ti-leaf, hau, and coconut fibers in making fishing lines, nets, rope, weapons and jewelry. Guests who are interested in learning how to make ti leaf roses will have an opportunity during the tour. Ti-leaf roses are given as a memento of your tour with us.

We look forward to seeing you in the near future.
