This secluded setting provides you a taste of what old Hawaii was really like. The grounds are filled with fruit and palm trees and secluded from other houses, yet the property is centrally located to all the interesting things to do and see on Kauai. Moloa'a Bay is often overlooked by visitors to the island because it is a little off the beaten path and is one of the few beaches without public parking. It is not unusual to be the ONLY ones on the beach as you take a leisurely walk or swim. You may have already seen Moloa'a Bay on episodes of the old TV series, "Gilligan's Island." Many of the beach scenes were filmed here, thus, the name we chose, "Gilligan's Beach Cottage." Perfect for honeymooners or couples trying to escape the "touristy" areas of Hawaii.
