HUMPBACK WHALE WATCHING SEASON
Humpbacks begin their southern migration from Alaska to Hawai'i in December every year to give birth to their calves as well as to mate. Whales stay through about April, but dates can vary somewhat.
Schaefer International Gallery. An annual event that is gaining increasing national recognition. Maui’s finest artists come together for a juried exhibit, featuring drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography, video installation, performance art and craft. MAUI SCHOLASTIC SURFING CHAMPIONSHIP

HANA SCHOOL NA KIA'I ANNUAL SPRING FESTIVAL
Admission is free to all. There will be live music and entertainment, with arts, crafts, food vendors all day long. ANNUAL LEI OF STARS CHORAL FESTIVAL
The Maui Choral Arts Association present the annual Lei of Stars Choral Festival. MCAA's two chorus, Maui Concert Chorus and Paradise Singers, UH Maui College Chorus and the Festival Chorus perform a repertoire that ranges from Biebl's "Ave Maria" to Hayden's "Awake the Harp" to the Israeli folk song "Zum Gali/Dance the Hora." THE CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS

MAUI OCEAN CENTER
The Maui Ocean Center is the only aquarium in the world dedicated to fostering understanding, wonder and respect for Hawaii’s marine life. The three-acre marine park, the largest tropical reef aquarium in the western hemisphere, provides information, tours by marine naturalists and exhibits on thousands of indigenous fish, sharks, turtles, stingrays and other fascinating marine animals. MCGREGOR POINT LOOKOUT
Free whale and ocean information is provided by the Pacific Whale Foundation. The (PWF) Ocean Outreach Van is at this scenic lookout daily 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.with interesting whale displays and free information about whales. PWF's Marine Research naturalists will be on hand to help you spot whales from one of the best shore-based whalewatching locations on Maui. Free. For more information call (808) 879-8860.

HALEAKALA NATIONAL PARK
Ongoing Ranger/Naturalist programs include guided walks, hikes, as well as programs on geology and natural and cultural history. In the Summit area, special evening star watching programs are conducted periodically. Occasionally special all day and half day hikes, three day service trips, or full moon hikes are offered. The Sheraton Maui, Kaanapali (West Maui) rests atop the famed black rock, Puu Kekaa, site of many Hawaiian legends. A torch lighting and cliff diving ceremony is enacted each evening right before sunset. The public can watch a young man in ancient Hawaiian garb light torches as he runs to the rock's summit. ASTRONOMY TOUR OF THE STARS
