Exploring: Calendar > Maui > June![]() Early June KA LIMA O MAUI 100 HOLES OF GOLF An annual endurance test for golfers fields approximately 24 players from golf's lunatic fringe who tee up in an attempt to finish 100 holes by sundown. The event is a fund raiser for Ka Lima O Maui, a local non-profit that provides vocational rehabilitation programs of persons with disabilities and those who are economically disadvantaged. Early June KAPALUA CLAMBAKE GOLF TOURNAMENT Kapalua's Plantation, Village and Bay Courses share the challenge for this annual pro-am event. Highlights include a clambake feast beachside at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua and awards ceremony. Tournament is limited to 32 teams comprised of one professional and three amateurs. Late June - Early July MAUI INVITATIONAL BAND FESTIVAL The annual Maui Invitational Band Festival features instrumental workshops, vocal clinics, and community concerts. All workshops and clinics are open to musicians and vocalists of all ages and are separated by skill level only. Produced by the Arts Education for Children Group (AECG), the lineup offers a diverse mix of musical genres such as classical, pop, blues, vocal and instrumental jazz. Late June KAPALUA WINE & FOOD FESTIVAL Every year world famous wine makers, chefs and visitors assemble at the Kapalua Resort for a series of cooking demonstrations, wine tastings and gourmet meals. All month (ongoing) MAUI OCEAN CENTER The Maui Ocean Center is the only aquarium in the world dedicated to fostering understanding, wonder and respect for Hawaii’s marine life. The three-acre marine park, the largest tropical reef aquarium in the western hemisphere, provides information, tours by marine naturalists and exhibits on thousands of indigenous fish, sharks, turtles, stingrays and other fascinating marine animals. Every evening (ongoing) SUNSET CLIFF-DIVING The Sheraton Maui, Kaanapali (West Maui) rests atop the famed black rock, Puu Kekaa, site of many Hawaiian legends. A torch lighting and cliff diving ceremony is enacted each evening right before sunset. The public can watch a young man in ancient Hawaiian garb light torches as he runs to the rock's summit.
