ST. JOSEPH COUNTRY FAIR
The annual St. Joseph Country Fair is held at the St. Joseph High School gym and grounds in Hilo. All-day live entertainment, a variety of ono local style foods, silent auction, and handmade arts & crafts. The fair delivers carnival-style games for keiki of all ages, fun activities and community service displays. The merriment includes pony rides, jumping castles and a rock climbing wall. The fair also offers plants, produce, lucky-ticket drawings, and much more. It's a Country Fair with a local flair. This is an island-wide community event, open to the public. Admission is free. IRONMAN TRIATHLON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
The Ironman Triathlon World Championship is held in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. Approximately 1,500 competitors will try to complete a 2.4-mile ocean swim, 112-mile bike ride, and 26.2 run. Competitors have 17 hours to finish the race. For more information call (808) 329-0063.

KOHALA COUNTRY FAIR
A country fair with local flavor. Over sixty booths with great crafts and food from around the world. Live music all day. Great exhibits and contests including the annual Spam carving contest. MOKUPAPAPA: DISCOVERY CENTER
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Mokupapapa: Discovery Center for Hawaii's Remote Coral Reefs, located in the S. Hata building, Hilo. The 4,000 sq. ft. museum combines interactive exhibits and video vignettes and features a 2,500-gallon salt water aquarium containing colorful tropical fish and coral found in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. Free to the public and open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

VOLCANO ART CENTER
Programs to perpetuate the artistic and cultural heritage of Hawai‘i's people and environment through activities in the visual, literary, and performing arts. It is centered at Kilauea, within Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park, and maintains a retail arts and crafts gallery in the historic 1877 Volcano House Hotel, adjacent to the Kilauea Visitor Center, under a cooperating agreement with the National Park Service. Volcano Art Center presents programs at the Kilauea Military Camp Theater, at the Volcano Art Center Gallery and adjacent hula platform, and at the Old Japanese Schoolhouse in Volcano Village. Aloha Fridays at the Keauhou Shopping Center (Kona) feature free ukulele lessons at 10am (advanced), 11am (beginners). Please bring your own ukulele. ANNUAL PARKER RANCH ROUND UP CLUB RODEO: CELEBRATING 160 YEARS OF PANIOLO HERITAGE
The exciting two-day Parker Ranch Round-Up Club Rodeo has been held annually at the Parker Ranch Rodeo Arena in Waimea for decades. The event is a fundraiser to provide scholarships for school-age children of Parker Ranch employees. Expect loads of family-style fun. Saturday kicks in to action at noon with a round up of rodeo activities, which may include everything from dally team roping, double mugging, po'o wai u, to bull riding, junior bull riding, bronc riding, barrel racing, steer un-decorating and wild cow races. Sunday's celebration begins at 11 a.m. with more rodeo action. Ono (delicious) food and refreshments are available both days.
